Our Christmas Adventures.

We were all so excited for Christmas to come, and when it finally did, it seems like it just cruised on by. Here are some of the moments we captured.

Christmas Eve at the Smith's: (Our camera battery was dying so we didn't get many)

Nicole had our name. She gave us Rock Band Metallica, an I spy book and a little Tinkerbell for Bridget.
We had Tyrell and Britanie. Josh helped me make a towel rack out of spoons, and Bob helped me make vinyl for a hanging "Smith" decoration. Hope they really liked it.

Bridget was just a LITTLE spoiled!

Christmas Day:

(apparently Bridget wasn't the only one who wanted Tinkerbell for Christmas...I got 3 pairs of Tinkerbell jammies!)

Bridget was also so excited that she had to help Mom and Dad open their presents too!

Christmas Day at the Bartholomew's:

Our gift giving theme this year was "use it up, wear it out, or do without"...So basically we had to reuse, make, or create on our own.
This year our little family had Mandi and Ryan's family. Mandi had given me the idea to make her and Ryan a blanket out of all their old t's. So I had to do something else that they would be SURPRISED about...
So First they opened the kids box that I made each one a beanie out of one of Mandi's old sweaters...Oh, and we gave them the movie "up" so they wouldn't say their present was "stupid"

This was the blanket all finished. (don't look too close, it might fall apart)

And last, Mandi had said that she wanted a picture of the Temple in her house, I randomly took one and had it enlarged. I don't know if she was really excited that it was a picture of the temple, or relieved it wasn't a "dirty picture".

Since we were forced to ruin Mom and Dad's surprise, Mom needed a surprise of her own, so being thoughtful about the theme, we got her some solar lights.

And Dad was super excited when he said, "I can SMELL it!"
Josh had a motor to get his snowblower going. Hopefully it works for them!

Landon had us. He made me a wood clock and gave Josh a manly thing from the man store.
But he made Bridget her own HOUSE!

It still isn't finished, so Bridget and I are going to help uncle Landon work on it tomorrow!

Grandma and Grandpa also made Bridget a way cool doll house and got her some little people and a bathroom set for it. We are also excited to bring that home too!

I think we need a bigger house!!!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas too!

It's True.

So I guess since my mother decided to write about it in her yearly Christmas letter that she sends to the Millions of people she knows...

Yes, Baby #2 is on it's way. All went well at our appointment. All but the clump of worry in one of my boobs. I had an ultrasound (no, not a mammogram...so I have to pay the big bucks for it...) yesterday. The gentalman that did this said that it looked normal to him, but he wasn't a Dr. I was supposed to schedule an appointment with a general surgeon following this appointment, but both I and that scheduler lady were confused.... so am waiting to hear back from my Dr.

I'm sure all is well.

Bridget is very excited for new Sista' or Brotha'. It changes daily on what she wants. However most of the time it's a "stocky" (her cousin Stockton, whom she ALWAYS talks about). She also thinks she has a baby in her belly as well. Funny.

The MONSTERS are comin'!!!

Last night about 10minutes after I put Bridget down, and after she heard Josh leave for work, She opened her bedroom door and in fear said, "MOM! The monsters are comin'!" Having this been a problem for the last few weeks Josh has put a "monster light" in her room to scare them away. I personally feel that when it is light in her room at all, she sees the creepy shadows, Just Josh's theory keeps her in bed too.
However lastnight I couldn't convince her other wise, so I lay in her bed with her talking to her about Santa, and what she wants him to bring her, Then we were talking about Christmas being the time when we celebrate Jesus' birth. I talked to her about him in a manger, and his mommy, as Bridget just lay there with little giggles. I told her about the wisemen that brought gifts for Jesus andBridget says "PANTS!?" I said... "well, ya, maybe they gave him pants" and then she said "shirt?!?" Ireplied..."maybe" Then she gets super gigglie and starts laughing and says "un-were" (how she says underwear). We were both laughing and I said, That would be funny huh??

Bridget- "Uh-huh! Jesus en un-were! Ha ha ha!"

It was a goodnight.

Princesses on ICE

Wednesday Josh and I took Bridget to see Disney Princesses on Ice. She was really looking forward to it since I wouldn't let her watch Toy Story any more and made her watch the Princess movies.
On the way down, we went to Park City to the Outlets in hopes to find some great deals for Christmas. We found a few, but not as much as I was hoping for. Bridget was getting tired and fell asleep on the way back to Salt Lake. We needed a place to stop and eat before we went to the show. I told Josh that we could just eat at the food court at the Gateway, so we kept driving around trying to find the mall. Then Josh just decided that we could go park for the show and walk to find something to eat. He parked in a parking lot next to Energy Solutions Arena, and as we park....yep...there was the mall. I didn't know they were so close! Lucky us! As we were eating, there were a ton of little girls filling the food court in their princess dresses. I felt like Bridget needed to be a princess too. So we found a tiara at the Claires.

When we got to our seats, the popcorn and cotton candy "yellers" were calling out. Bridget would go quite when they came past, but when they were down in the isles, she was yelling "pa-corn!" I didn't know if she wanted some, or just wanted to yell with them!

I think she had a good time. ...even though the witches were pretty scary!
She REALLY loved Tinkerbell!

Getting dressed.

After Bridget got out of the shower, I told her that she has clean clothes in the dryer. By the time I got down to help her find some, she was already "on top" of it!

Halloween 2009

Well Halloween Is Finaly Here!!! It is Joshua's Favorite holiday, and I think Jessica is starting to get into it too!!! She gets so involved into making such great costumes for Bridget to wear. This year Jessica made a toy story 2 costume of Jessey the cow girl. I must say Bridget looked that part.

We went trick or treating to the cache valley mall, we made it just in time for Bridget's age group to be entered into a Halloween costume contest where Bridget's Jessey costume won an honorable mention, if only she would have told the lady yeeehaw instead of i need a tissue (for her newly picked booger) I think she would have won a grand prize.

Then we were off to do a little trick or treating on main street

Bridget had fun going to tyrells, and Nana and G-pa smiths house

And of course a little nightime trick or treating... HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Big Blue Born 1968, died October 24, during a four hour surgery. He fought a long courageous battle of Rust-itis.
Big Blue was a very strong, reliable, and fun ride, transporter, and the occasional therapist.
He endured many upgrades over the years, including a few new engines, new paint, tread, a new rear end, and new smoke pipes.
Big Blue loved to play in the mud, climb hills and rocks, and even became the location of a first kiss.

Although Big Blue may seem gone to some people, parts of him will forever remain with us.

Thanks Big Blue, for one heck of a RIDE!

Motivation

11 days 'til Halloween, so I figured I better get movin'' on Bridget's costume.

I made her help on it too!

Just need to come up with a shirt and belt and we're set!
