Sequoia- Yosemite

Driving into Sequoia National Park

Meeting up with Crystal, Steve and the boys

Riding the bus from the park and ride up to the General Sherman, and Moro Rock

Bridget obviously didn't care that they would cut off her head! :)

General Sherman (if you look close, you can see how tiny the people are at the base)

This massive pine cone is surprisingly not from a Sequoia tree, it's from a Sugar Pine

This egg sized pine cone IS a Sequoia pine cone.

Brentan was nervous to sit next to his cousin... I think Bridget was a little shy herself.

Hiking up Moro Rock

The steep very scary hike with kids up Moro Rock

On top of it all, Moro Rock

The scariness of Moro Rock

Coming down

the 20 minute wait in the one-way construction trip

Roastin' some Hotdogs with the Bohm's.

The girls and their Apache shirts

Ready to go fishin'

This little river that ran along our camp site, allowed free fishing.  Bridget was very excited to spend this time with her daddy.

Showin' off the Apache some more... (By the way, our Ranger we learned is a very rare trailer, and was probably one of the most impressive trailers at the round up!  GO US!)

Bridget loving the Orange Trees

Making friends

Most Apache's left Monday, we had an extra day, which surrounded us by massive motor homes the last night there.

I made Josh find us some huge pinecones off the side of the road

The tunnel through to the Yosemite look out.

The outlook where you can see everything!  well not everything, but it's amazing!

And on to the next for the continuing of our trip!  ......

CA Apache trip 2012

Ready to head out from home

Our stay in St. George

Entertaining the girls in traffic

two miles in two hours between Vegas and Primm

Bridget REALLY needed to go pee, so she had to squat just off the side of the highway!  She didn't care!

After realizing that we were about 2-3 miles from the exit to Primm, Josh decided to play the "I'm out of gas" card, and ride the side.

This is a picture of the traffic up the hill that was a "10 hour clean up" for a tanker that tipped over.  We hung out in the parking garage to keep out of the son for a little bit.

Josh seriously considering poppin up in the garage! But we ended up checking into a room for an hour and a half nap, and showers.  Then I noticed that traffic was up and moving now, so we headed out.

After hanging out in Primm for 5 hours, we realised it was onlyWE should have carried on!

The truck was carrying ferric chloride which is a VERY corrosive substance.

Finally back on the road.

We finally made it to the round up at 1:30 am.  From sites 22-65 I beleive were all apache's.

everyone had things to Show, this guys was the one who organized this round-up and had shirts made for everyone.

Meeting and sharing.

Heading up to the Seqouia National forest... more to come... this wifi is slow!  :)
