Living in Make Believe

I have a real princess living with me. Well, a princess who doesn't care if she's got dirt in her shoes, or under her fingernails, or who has bad hair days by choice almost every other day.

Last week as I was pulling weeds out in the yard, Bridget was helping me. When she decided that pulling weeds was boring, she started building castles with the rocks. After about 10 minutes or so of entertaining herself, she came up to me and told me that I needed to go talk to the Prince who was dancing on the water meter in the lawn for her. I asked her why she (the princess) didn't go talk to him and she told me that she needed me to cause she was too shy! I then proceeded to tell her that the Prince wasn't looking for the "queen", he was waiting for the Princess to come, and that she needed to go talk and dance with him. She looked over towards the water meter and immediately got an embarrassed look on her face. Then slowly moved over to "talk" to him.

Our bedtime stories, and songs have turned into Princess Fairy Tales by mom. "Mom, how 'bout 'nother one!" Or "How about Princess Boog-a-bear" (her)

Some days I wish I was little again and only have to worry about the "prince" wanting to talk to me, or have much less stressful things to have to worry over.

I love having a girl! What if this little babe coming IS a boy? What will I do???

Truck update

So I thought the Truck project was slowing down, but I guess that if it's sunny, Josh thinks there is nothing better to work on. Him and Tyrell finally got the bumper pulled off that was stuck on there. Josh referred to it as doing it the "red neck" way by pulling it with a chain and his other truck. Whatever it takes I guess.

He has started grinding down the frame so he can get it all cleaned up and coated with the POR15 also. He has got the bottom of his cab all coated now as well.

Yesterday he pulled his motor so that he can finish cleaning up the fame, clean up the motor again and paint it. He was excited for his motor stand that we just picked up from a guy on KSL. We are definitely going to be needing a storage unit just for the random tools he keeps adding to the garage! I'm never going to get to park in there!

Little things... Big progress!

San Diego Trip

Our week in California was great! We started off heading to wards Crystal and Steve's house early Friday morning. Yes it WAS a long drive, especially with Bridget!
Once we got to Crystal's, we were ready to crash. Saturday, Bridget enjoyed playing with her cousins in their swimming pool and running around with the Nerf guns Nana bought them.

Playing in the water - Josh bought them lollipops
Josh helping Steve with his car problems - Steve helping Josh with his car problems!

The next morning we headed out early for LA to make it to the Angels vs. Yankees game. Our tickets said we were in the family "pavilion". No, we were NOT in a "pavilion" we were in the dead heat! It was fun, but once again, Bridget was not comfortable until we went to the restroom for the 3rd time, changed her,and soaked her hair with water. She then fell asleep on Nana's lap.

After the game, we headed down to check into our place in San Diego. We bought a guys time share week off ebay, so when we checked into the Laurence Welk Resort, we all felt like we were at a retirement home with all the elderly people everywhere! It was a VERY relaxing place and a lot of fun things to do there. Josh was even thinking about purchasing our own timeshare! (Good find Mel!)

While in San Diego, we went to SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo.
