(continuation)

After playing a boring game of chess, we went back to the room and fell asleep waiting. We woke up a little before 10. Josh called down to the front desk again, and was given the number of the balloon operator. He called and the guy told him that he only flies in the AM because that's when it is the safest. So Pretty Much we have a little communication error between him and the Inn, but we didn't get to go on the balloon ride. :( I was very sad and told Josh that we should just check out now. So with tears in my eyes I went to the car while Josh checked out. They ended up giving a gift certificate for an hour ride (instead of a 1/2 hour).
I don't know, after not being able to sleep knowing that we had to be up so early for the ride, and waiting around all morning for not, I was a little disappointed.

(Enjoying the Oreo, white chocolate, caramel dipped apple)

We went back to Park City cause they had a caramel apple shoppe that I wanted to go to the day before. That brightened our day.

Happy Birthday Mandi!

Mandi's birthday party was pretty fun! She had a slip-n-slide, Italian sodas, Jordan played some music... (I think his favorite is Techno!) and Melanie and I made her birthday cake. It took almost two full days so we made her a scrapbook page with all the pictures so she would know that it was made with a LOT of love! (yes... too much frosting between layers, but no... I don't think it needed to be frozen!)

Bridget helping everyone get wet(er)

Sending Bridget and Lucy down for a little ride. (Idon't think Lucy was very excited!)

Bridget going down by herself. (So brave!)

after the ride

Waiting for our turn again

I got stuck.

For the Curious...

So Crystal and Melanie apparently don't know about Josh and Walmart...
When we go... (if he's not having a panic attack because of all the people) He for some reason, thinks its funny to walk through the store pretending he's a little "challenged". It is rather quite embarrassing. I try and ditch him, but then he says things like "Don't leave me with all these strangers!" REALLY Loud. You know.... things that make it perfectly clear that he's with me.

You try going shopping with him!

Walk with me!

Bridget brought home a toy from Melanie's house yesterday. I think She feels pretty cool that she can do something by herself! Although she looks like Josh walking through Wal-Mart... I think She's getting closer to taking her own little steps!

Bee's

Josh has wanted to go to another Baseball game ever since we went to the Mariners vs. Angels in Seattle three years ago. (mainly for the hot-dog!) So we finally went to a Bee's game this weekend. We took Heather and Austin with us and drove clear to Draper before we realized that we went too far.
So we turned around. By the time we found the stadium and a place to park the game was already in the 2nd inning.

Austin asked Heather ten minutes after we got there when we were going to go home. I think it was because he couldn't see and didn't know what was going on, cause when he saw sitting on her lap and we were telling him about the game, he seemed more excited about being there.

On the way down to Salt Lake, Josh was telling us that the Bee's were going to win the game because they were playing the Fresno Grizzlies and apparently the Bee's haven't lost very many games, but the grizzlies had....
The ending score what 12-3.... For the Grizzlies!
It was still a fun to go!

Snoop-ma'

I woke up from my 2 minute cat-nap to Vanessa Williams "save the best for last " . In my disoriented state, I tried to figure out what was going on. Apparently my neighbors are having a wedding today!

The chairs are all set up, the tables have table cloths.
So what time is the party supposed to happen?
Time now... 11:00 am.

Oh... some people have arrived... They don't know what to do, but aimlessly walk around in the heat. People come in and out of the house...

Time now... 2:30 pm.

More people arrive. Everyone is hot. It's time to set up some porti-shade!

People continue to arrive with gifts.

The Minister/Pastor gets ready....
People migrate over to the metal chairs as they sit and burn their butts.
Time now... 3:20 pm

Oh the music starts. The groom is ready. First down the isle, the two bridesmaids with the wifes sons.

Then... Oh.... "Here Comes the Bride!"
(no that's not a back roll... it's actually part of the dress.)

"I Do"...
Spy on my neighbors!

Oh the joys of being a stay at home mother!

The hospital we go

So back in May when we were camping, Bridget got a bladder infection. We waited it out as long as we could until we felt like bad parents. We took her into the insta-care. They ended up having to use a catheter to collect a urine sample, and gave us an antibiotic to give her for the next ten days. Things cleared up and she seamed to be a lot happier.

With her Birthday, she had to go in for her 12 month appointment. Doc asked about the noted visit to the insta-care and was pretty upset that they didn't do a follow up test thing with her. So he scheduled an appointment with the Radiology department in the Hospital For Aug. 1st.

When we went, we were both pretty clueless of why it was so necessary that we needed to do this 3 months later, when Bridget had been fine this whole time!
We waited about twenty minuted, and then they called us back to have an ultrasound done on her bladder. That procedure took about 10 or 15 minutes, then they sent us back out to the waiting room for almost an hour before they called us back for X-rays!
When we went back to the room... (still clueless) the girl doing the X-rays asks if we know why we were there. FINALLY! She mentioned that usually with children who tend to have bladder infection(s) may have some sort of a leak in the bladder where the urine escapes and goes to the kidneys, so they were going to have to put a catheter in her again (with an empty stomach) fill her bladder with fluid, and X-ray her as she pee's it out to watch for any "leaks".

We had to hold her down and still for about 5 minutes. I felt like the mom from Haiti's! She was screaming bloody murder the whole time!

After we left the hospital Josh told her that he would get her some ice-cream... (why is it that ice-cream is always the "soothing" food?) She fell asleep on the way home.

Later that afternoon the Dr.'s office called and said she had no problems and everything seemed to be fine. I was a little upset for an unnecessary appointment and a huge DR. bill!

Poor little girl! :(
