Another One Bites the Dust

Saturday was our 6th Anniversary. How'd we celebrate??? On a 5 hour motorcycle ride!
We rode with the "Ride for the Fallen". I heard there were 260 bikes which doubled last years count!

When we got to the park, they had a walk of all the soldiers who gave their lives for us on the "wall". They served continental breakfast, had a flag ceremony, with a broke down national anthem where everyone participated in singing. After which, they had a gun salute, "Taps" and bagpipes were played.

(Josh's co-worker Todd) (Annette and Bob)

(Riding down the flag-lined road) (Josh's friend Daniel) (Through the canyon riding by uncle Bret)

(All you can see all the way forward, and back, were BIKES, it was Awesome!)

The ride began. We started through Logan Canyon, rode the east side of Bear Lake, and back up through Immigration Canyon, down Preston and back to Hyde Park where it all began for a tasty lunch waiting for us.

(Annette... I'm assuming had a good story!, Josh, and Chris)

It was a great ride. I was happy to be a part of this charity this year!

Pretty Things

Today, after 4 years, I actually DID something with a couple of my neighbors! We had a neighborhood party last night and one of my neighbors felt like she needed to hangout, so her and another neighbor decided to make some hair bows for our girls.
This morning, feeling awkward, Bridget and I got ourselves ready and headed over at 10. Yes it was awkward, but it was still fun to do something! And plus... I think the bows I made turned out pretty cute!!!

cheating.

Josh came home from work and climbed into bed like usual. I talked to him for a little bit, then I got up and let him sleep.
I went in to wake him up around 4 so that we could go get the car registered before they closed.
As I was trying to wake him up I noticed that he had some bright red lips smeared on his cheek, and I knew it wasn't mine! Being curious, i asked him who this new girlfriend was. He acted clueless. Starting to get more curious, I continued to ask him more questions...
He himself I think was getting a little worried. then I noticed...

He had written on his hand with red pen in two lines something to remind him to look up when he got home. And of course, pen ALWAYS transfers! :)

I just busted up laughing, as he asked if he really had red "lips" on his neck. I said, "YES. you do!"

Miss Independent

I was in Bridget's room putting her laundry away and cleaning up her toys, when I hear her opening and closing the fridge. (she's not supposed to be in the fridge) I finished folding her clothes and I walk into the kitchen. Apparently she wanted a sandwich. I found this funny because we haven't had sandwiches for a few months, and I never put miracle whip and mustard on hers, but today, she had it all out, even the bread that I didn't think she could reach.

I am wondering if i hadn't come in and helped her, how that sandwich might have turned out! :)
