Not 2 anymore!

Bridget turned 3!!!

We had a joint birthday for her and Lucy this year. Melanie and I made "monster" cupcakes, googlie eye head bands, Melanie made a cool Pinata, and we made them their own Monster cakes, and had a huge monster mess with silly string!

Bridget and Lizzy comparing their dresses.

Grandma put money in Bridget's bank account at America First where they have been giving away cute piggy banks. (Lucy got her own account)

One her birthday she wanted to go play at the park, so we got some dinner and took her to the park. She loved running around and just watching all the other kids.... And she's a great climber!

I tried taking some 3 year old pictures, but she was too much of a goof-ball... So I have too many "perfect" ones!

Josh taught her how to closer her eyes and Make a *WISH*

It must have been one heck of a wish!!!

Big Sister

Bridget has been such a great BIG Sister. She loves Kaitlyn, and in her ultimate girlie voice calls her a "little cutie". Although, she has a hard time holding her. I think it might be the fussiness of newborns... I don't know.

Kaitlyn Bobbi

So even though I was REALY wanting this little child out of me already, it came a lot quicker than we thought/hoped it would.
Wednesday night I had contractions EVERY 15 minutes all night long. I called Josh at work to warn him, but we decided not to worry about him coming home until they were like 5 minutes apart, since we went in at 6 minutes with Bridget and were there for 8 hours.
I never called Josh cause they never progressed. When I got up, nothing. I had maybe two light contraction once every hour to hour and a half. Around 9:00 pm I had two extreamly hard ones ten minutes apart. I told Bridget to go get dad and tell him you're ready to go to Nana's. Josh's mom picked Bridget up just before 10. Contractions went from 10 to 3 minutes apart. We were checked into the hospital and little miss Kaitlyn was born at 10:39 pm! Completely natural! (I really wanted the drugs!!!)

One day at home down.... forever to go!

Some of our Festivities

The 4th weekend is always full of festivities for us. I our weekend started off with the fireworks at the stadium, then Dad's breakfast Saturday and the car show later. Then Nana's for a BBQ, fireworks and relaxation. Festivities ended at with the annual Hyrum Parade on Monday. What an eventful weekend!

Last year at the Fireworks They had a fly over that was pretty cool. We were excited for it again this year!

I woke up this morning to Bridget so excited about this butterfly her and Josh found out in our yard. I was amazed that she held it all the way through the house and it didn't fly away. Little things like this have made me think about the little things in life that we tend to forget about, or not care to take a moment to really enjoy. As I walk around my neighborhood nine months prego, pushing Bridget in the jogger, and in the heat of the day, I thought about how blessed I am to be able to walk (uncomfortably...), how the joys of a little girl getting to ride in her "princess carriage" can be so exciting. How when you think that what you have could be better, and realize what you have, IS better than what others have. Or taking a moment to enjoy the peaceful neighborhood as everyone else seem to be on vacation, due to the emptiness of the yards, streets, and sidewalks.

I am so grateful for a happy, healthy family. For our trials that we go through to help us become stronger and closer to each other. For the blessings of being able to have a family. (even though it might seem like too much work sometimes) For a talented and hard working husband. For this house that we call home. For the ability to do the things that we desire in life! For the love of others.

Remember to take a moment for the little things!
